Free vacation opportunity on the North Olympic Peninsula on the dry side of the Olympic Mountains! We are seeking house sitters who will walk and care for our two dogs at our luxurious mountain home near Sequim, Washington.
Lorax is an exuberant and affectionate three-year old wire hair pointer. He runs and walks well off leash under attentive supervision. Sissi is a 13-year old wire hair dachshund. She is still spunky and keeps up on daily one-mile walks through woods and fields. Both are house broken, sleep in their own room, like routine, and tend to be early risers.
Additional opportunities include feeding a wide variety of wild birds, releasing frogs and salamanders from the pond skimmers, hanging out in the sunroom or on the deck while watering plants and watching the deer. Yard will need mowing once/week taking about 2 hours on our riding mower.
Area attractions include Olympic National Park, Salt Creek Recreation Area, the Dungeness River, Spit, and Light House, with a wealth of hiking trails and sailing opportunities. The Victorian town of Port Townsend is an easy day trip.
The home is a well kept, high end, private and behind a security gate. It over looks a duck pond on 20 acres of wooded surroundings. The charming mountain location has easy access and is only two miles to national forest roads leading to hiking trails and just 15 minutes from the town of Sequim with all conveniences.
