We are a couple in our 60s. We are travelling for 7 weeks late Sept to early Nov and are looking for a house-sitter to mind our older cat and water our plant pots. The cat is healthy and likes company but is not keen on small children.
We live in a quiet cul de sac close to bus stops (3 and 7 mins walk) and local shops (9 mins). We are 10 mins by car from the nearest larger shopping centre (Woden). We are also close to many iconic Canberra tourist spots, if you are visiting the area.
Our house is mostly double glazed to keep out the weather and we have excellent ducted heating and cooling. We like to be comfortable! We have a large sunny deck and secure off-street parking. We have a lot of books, if you are a reader, including an excellent art book collection.
