I'm a teacher & I will be out of town for large parts of my summer, often in 1-3 week stretches, so could also be gone for 6-7 straight weeks but definitely hopeing to be gone from at least. I might not be gone the whole time, but could work it out to be if someone wanted more time.
I might want to drop in for an afternoon to get things in between trips, but could also figure out how to be gone for the whole month. I would definitely not sleep over if you stay long-term but might just want to drop in to check on the cats if I'm passing through town.
I'm looking for someone to stay here & take care of my cats and fish, in exchange for a couple weeks in NYC. I can't really sublet with the critters & I feel better with someone in my home with the cats all the time than just dropping in for more of a fee, so I like the exchange of pet-care for rent. Since rent has gone up & there are other expenses, I'd also love if someone could contribute a small negotiable amount to utilities depending on time spent here if possible.
You'll see in the pictures that I have a small puggle, but she'll actually be spending the parts of the summer that I'm gone with my mom out of town. The other critters will require minimal care & would be my main concern for someone staying here: 2 cats (one is a lover, the other...less so. He's pleasant but anti-social...but getting better.) There's also a fish tank which will require little attention, but is to amuse the cats.
I live just off Myrtle Ave on the edge of the Ridgewood Queens neighborhood. There's plenty to do & I'm close the the M & L trains, so it's fairly convenient to getting into the city (sometimes a little less so on weekends).
Finally, it's important that you are a non-smoker, or at least no cigarettes in the apt and clean up after yourself. Thanks!
