In case guests are there for the vacation rental house, you would be responsible to check the house if everything is ok before check in, do the check in, i.e. welcome the guests and show them the house as well as doing the check out including doing the laundry, so our cleaning lady is able to prepare the house for the next guests.
Overview
Built on over 2.5 acres, the large private estate is situated in a quiet pristine setting. It consists of the Longhouse (the house you will be sitting), an infinity-pool with Indonesian style gazebo and the Orange House, our vacation rental house. The pool area is shared with guests (maximum 2 people) of the vacation rental. The buildings are surrounded by a huge tropical garden with lots of native trees, giant bamboo and local fruit trees set close to the rainforest and the Morete River.
The house is an open living house close to the rainforest for nature lovers. There is no AC and no TV available. We care very much about ecological living and don’t use bug spray or any kind of chemicals in our house! If you are scared or very sensitive with bugs and insects, you will not feel comfortable in our house.
It is a two story house. The upper floor, which contains the living areas, is a shoeless area due to the floor finishing. So be sure, that you have no problems to walk barefoot and use staircase without hand rail!
Due to the open living style of the house, the floors have to be swept every morning.
If you want to explore the area intensively, you will need a car to go around. If you just want to relax, enjoy the pool and surrounding nature, you might get along by using taxi.
Simplify and eliminate both the physical and psychological clutter in your lives and come back to nature!
Here you can live the Pura Vida life style surrounded by nature in a beautiful house close to Uvita, a small village only 5 minutes away by car from the beautiful beaches of the South Pacific coast in Costa Rica and Marino Ballena National Park.
Pura vida is a typical Costa Rican expression and means more or less "full of life", "this is living!", "going great", "real living","Awesome!" or "cool!". If you ask somebody in Costa Rica: "How are you", you can get the answer "I'm fine" but also "Pura vida"...
Uvita, with its infrastructure that includes banks, supermarkets and restaurants, as well as the beaches and Marino Ballena National Park are only a short distance away by car.
Further popular tourist attractions are whale and dolphin watching, horse back riding at the beach or in the jungle, birding, canopying, exploring wild life, surfing, snorkeling, kayaking in the mangroves and waterfall tours.
