I need a mature person who loves cats, responsible, reliable, clean living non-smoker, for house & pet sitting.
I live in Canberra, but I need to be interstate for a few weeks to attend to family matters. I need someone to look especially after my cat, fish in small outdoor fishpond, and my home. Someone who loves cats, who is experienced, kind and loving, and because of my cat who likes company, it would be great if you are in a position to spend part of the day at home.
My cat is 15 years old, is getting on in years and therefore has a few little health issues (almost no teeth), but overall, she is well, and well behaved in all regards. She is small and gentle, loves her kisses and cuddles. She is mainly an indoor cat, but prefers to do her business outdoors. She is independent, not the 'lap' type, but is responsive, quiet, and likes to be around people. I lock her in at sunset.
My home is a peaceful private 3 bedroom house, bright and sunny, with views to the Brindabella hills, nice & safe surrounds, picturesque walking tracks and ponds; two minutes walk to public transport and 10 minutes to shops.
Small easy-care garden, some mowing may be required, watering of outdoor and indoor plants. Simple normal daily/weekly care of small outdoor fishpond, bird bath and feeder.
Gas log fireplace, and also for hot water and cooking. Evaporative air cooler. There are two upright electric oil column heaters if required (the safe type!).
Some flexibility as to timing may be useful, to begin/end, to suit us both. You will be nice and cozy in my peaceful comfortable home. Please contact me at your earliest -thank you!
