Hi there! we are looking for a cat-lover/Italy-lover to pet sit in Florence for 2 weeks in the middle of August.
The dates are 06th AUGUST 2022- 22nd AUGUST 2020 and there is flexibility if you wish to come/stay longer.
We also have a 2nd date for 4 nights: 28th Ocober November 2022.
The apartment in Florence is our new home and has been newly renovated. It has 2 rooms, a winter balcony and a big terrace on the top floor of a typical tuscan apartment building a 25minute walk from the historical centre.
The apartment is on the top floor (3.5 floors) without a lift/elevator so please take this into account if you have any mobility limitations.
The airport is a 15min/25€ taxi ride away or you can catch the tram/1.50€ and walk 15mins to the apartment. The central train station is a 20minute stroll away where you are in the middle of the old town where you can soak up the real Italian lifestyle and renaissance vibe of Florence!
Our 1° furbaby is called Billi (he was a little bit famous in Padova (where we used to live) because he insisted on being taken outside for walks every day on his leash. Actually, he behaves quite like a dog!! Our 2° furbaby is Kimba a little black girl who has a squeaky little voice that you only hear when she thinks food is about to arrive!
Billi has loads of energy and will ask you to play lots of games every morning like hide-and-seek and "attack the glove" and his favourite game is chase-around-the-house! He requires about 40mins dedicated playtime a day (we usually split it between the morning and evening). Kimba is a little more calm and timid but she loves to chase string and paper balls.
Billi and Kimba are both desexed and thank the heavens, they have no health problems. We also have a fishtank which at the moment the only resident is "Batman" the bottom feeder.
The apartment is comfortable with WiFi high-speed internet, loads of light, and a large remote-controlled projector screen for watching movies.
There is no air-conditioning but the airflow in the apartment is great as you can open awnings from one side of the apartment to another. I use 2 standing fans to stay cool on those hotter days.
Florence needs no explanations, it's one of the MUST-see cities of Italy and the apartment is well-placed for sightseeing, great restaurants, heading to the Cascine park and everything else Florence has to offer!!
