We are looking for a house sitter for a school year, during which we plan to go abroad with our children. The house will be yours and we hope you will appreciate it for its true value and take nice care of it. We do not want the house to be occupied by too many people, but that it be inhabited and maintained during our absence.
We may come back for a few days to spend the Christmas holidays.
The house is large and has a garden of about 400 m².
On the ground floor: a large living room, dining room with fireplace, kitchen, 1 office and 1 bedroom with shower room.
Upstairs, 3 bedrooms, one with a shower room, 1 office, a play room and a bathroom with bathtub.
In the garden: a cherry tree, a plum tree, and raspberries.
It is an old house, but with modern comforts.
My husband and I are both business owners, and usually work from home. He sells sports equipment and I am a translator.
We live in a small town of 5000 inhabitants with good local shops - 2 bakeries, a butcher's, a florist, a women clothes shop, a chemist's, 2 bars, a small grocery store / post office. Just a 5-minute ride by bike you also have a supermarket and 2 bio farms and 10-minute ride by bike a bigger shopping center with a cinema, bowling and plenty of shops. There are also lots of nice paths to run or walk. And there's a gym club where can do dance, zumba, yoga and other activities.
We are located in a quiet residential area, with very friendly neighbours!
It is an excellent starting point to visit Brittany and France: we are 10 minutes from Rennes, 45 minutes from Saint-Malo or the Paimpont forest (King Arthur's land), 3 hours from Paris (2 hours by train).
We will pay for all the house charges, but we expect our homesitter to sign a contract, including a bond/deposit, to comit to stay for the full length of our absence and take good care of the house.
