I need a single, non smoking, independent sitter (preferably female) to care for small straw bale studio and bad boy cat, slightly deranged, for approximately 7 months starting August 12, 2019. Will consider those who cannot exactly meet the start and end dates (within a couple days). Presently I don't have an exact end date, and would love to find someone who's flexible on that for now.
Located on a one mile dead-end road about five miles outside of a small town, the studio is cozy, warm, and private. Duties include house watching and care, light indoor and outdoor plant care, Snow removal if there is any, and keeping company with the cat. Area is amidst pinon-juniper high desert vegetation, with houses sparsely located along the quiet gravel road. There is easy access to dirt roads for walking and bicycling. The sitter is welcome to borrow my mountain bike and enjoy the immediate area. Small town nearby has all basic amenities, and larger towns within 30 miles offer a wide range of shopping, cultural, and recreational opportunities. A perfect space in which to finish (or start!) writing that book that's still inside of you. Wifi is available, but is not super fast.
Oh yeah, Coco the cat-boy-senior--he's the love of my life, despite his unpredictability and fondness for bringing me small innocent creatures, usually with broken necks. He really needs to be around people, and will cuddle and talk and ask you to take him on walks.
Please, I can only consider single sitters who have no pets, and those who intend to spend most of their time at the studio. I'm flexible regarding this arrangement, as I have a backup nearby. Please know that laundry is done next door, a 30-second walk, there is no TV service but I do have Netflix, and there is one twin size bed in the loft that some tall people may find inadequate. Otherwise, it's a very comfortable and healing place to spend time!
