Hello,
My husband and I have been called away at the last minute for 5 days because of a family emergency.
We live in a charming 100 year old craftsman bungalow in the Elmwood of Berkeley.
Our two cats, Fergus and Clementine, are brother and sister and 15 years old. They are very pretty and sweet. Fergus is a "ladies man" and Clementine a bit more shy, but as I said, sweet.
Both willingly take oral medication. Fergus is diabetic and receives insulin injections twice/daily. All of this is easy as our cats are cooperative and the process straight forward.
We seek someone who will spend some time in our home during the day, not arrive around dinner time, stay the night, give the cats breakfast and leave early in the morning.
Our cats are accustomed to companionship and too, there is a practical side to this request. Diabetics drink a lot of water. That means a diabetic cat is using the litter box with frequency. Wet spots in the box need to be covered with a bit of dry litter or else there are dirty cat paw prints on the floor - unsanitary and unsightly.
We take pride in leaving our home clean, welcoming and appealing for the sitter and would like to know the sitter feels the same way- that it is important for them to leave our home clean and welcoming as well.
Thank you
