We would love to have an interested person or couple sit for us whilst we are away from our home, and travelling within Australia.
We live on a large semi-rural block (six thousand sqm or one and a half acres) in a quiet area of Cabarlah which is fifteen kms north of Toowoomba Qld. We are located within a ten minute drive of shopping centres and other local amenities located in Highfields town centre where you will find three supermarkets (Coles, Aldi and Woolworths), chemists, medical services, dental services, bottle shops, bakery, and newsagencies. Highfields also has a Tavern, library, public pool and modern indoor sports hall and gymnasiums if you want to work out. Toowoomba city (one hundred and thirty thousand population) is also only fifteen minutes away for all other possible needs and services you may require including public transport / theatres / restaurants / medical services and hospitals. Highfields and Cabarlah have a number of local tourist shops, cafes and you will be near to a number of national parks (one hour drive or less). We are also only two hours away from the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. Brisbane is one and a half hours away with regular commuter bus services.
We require a person/s or couple to house sit while we are away travelling within Australia for 5 weeks. There will be one elderly cat to care for (low maintenance) and very minimal watering of plants outside. The home is eleven years old, with three bedrooms and all modern conveniences including gas stove, A/C, internet, streaming services and mobile coverage. The home is one level with no stairs or other raised areas. We have expansive views with no other immediate neighbours so enjoy the peace and quiet. Non smoking sitters only please. Toowoomba has a cooler climate and during winter temps will range from five to eighteen degrees, summer sixteen to thirty degrees. There will be under cover garage parking available. The property has fencing but would not be suitable for other animals. We would be happy to hear from you including if you require some more details.
