We are The Llama Sanctuary in Chase Falkland Road, Chase, Okanagan, British Columbia. Our family comprises 18 llamas, 12 alpacas two bantam roosters, a Canadian Heritage horse and a cat, all of whom we have rescued or who have been surrendered to The Sanctuary.
Our system is designed so that most can look after themselves. All of the llamas and alpacas have access to grazing and automated access to hay where required. We need someone to check the main tribe who have freedom to roam their 30 acre parkland. There are a few others in separate barns with paddocks who have special, but simple needs, such as bowl food in addition to hay.
We share an incredibly beautiful 157 rural acres with a horse boarding facility. Assistance is only required for The Sanctuary. We can offer private accommodation in a lovely little cottage. on-site. The lively and beautiful Chase Creek runs through the Sanctuary. Pillar Lake formed by a volcanic eruption is 12 km's away.
Are you available/interested in a spending a few days from Wednesday 20th March (or sooner if you wish)? Wednesday is to cover requirements and familiarize yourself. We are leaving on Friday 22nd, returning Sunday 24th. You are welcome to stay longer if you wish.
Our family may be seen at Llamas in the Raw and FAB in BC .
