I am looking for an exceptional single person or quiet couple to care for my sustainable home in East Clare, Ireland. There are no jobs to do, other than to keep the house warm in cold weather and maintain a presence in the house.
My home is timber built, set in a conservation area, home to otters, red squirrels, pine martens, an abundance of wild flowers, moths and butterflies. There are two double bedrooms en suite, a study, pantry, balcony, kitchen and sitting room. The garden is laid to medicinal herbs and organically grown vegetables but mostly is dedicated as a plant sanctuary. It is very peaceful amidst a friendly but sparsely populated community. There is WiFi but no TV. I have most modcons but not a dishwasher. Water supply is beautiful, soft filtered rain water. Heating is by a multi-fuel stove. This is a chemical-free home.
You need to be practical, fit enough to bring in timber for the stove, and able to manage a non standard house. There is a local person who will come in to help should anything go wrong.
There is very little local transport, so it is best if you have a car, but it is also possible to use mine.
I am looking for someone initially for the 2-15th December, but I am also looking for someone for 3 weeks in late December/early January, and for 3 weeks from mid February to mid March.
Non smokers only, please.
