We need someone to look after our cat for about a week. She is very old and sleeps most of the time, but we don’t want to send her to kennels.
We live in the pretty town of Hope, BC, and have to be away from October 18 to October 23. If you can come, we would like you to arrive the day before we have to leave, i.e., October 17, just so you can get an idea of the house and get to know our little cat.
Hope is a small town of about 6000 people, in a breathtaking setting surrounded by mountains, and with lakes within a few minutes' drive. Our house is very comfortable and is pleasantly situated on the bank of the Coquihalla River. It has a wonderful view of the river and the mountains at the front, and is sheltered by forest at the back. We have TV and wi-fi, so please feel free to bring your computer.
The town has a very good tourist information centre which provides many pamphlets describing the area and giving directions for the many walks and hikes. Within quite easy walking distance, there are two supermarkets, a government liquor store, a really excellent bookshop, and numerous small shops as well as restaurants and cafés. The recreation centre, which has a pool and a gym as well as the library, is a few minutes' walk from the house. There is a larger shopping centre in Chilliwack / Sardis, about forty minutes’ drive away.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING WE REQUIRE IS CARE FOR OUR CAT, WITH LOTS OF ATTENTION AND TLC.
We would welcome a couple or a single person, but we would expect that only the single house sitter, or the couple, would be in residence at any time. No overnight house guests, please, and no pets.
Finally, and most importantly, again, our primary focus is attentive and affectionate care of our cat. If you can help us, please contact us as soon as possible. Again, the number is .
Thank you.
