I'll be traveling in April (approximately the 15th to 26th, still working on exact dates) and need someone responsible and cat-experienced to stay with Harry, my Maine Coon cat mix. Harry is an easy and entertaining companion, but he's an indoor ONLY cat (and sneaky) so you need to be clever and conscientious enough to make certain he stays inside.
Location: My 1824 two-story home is in the lovely Historic District of Bath, Maine, and overlooks the mighty Kennebec River. Take a five-minute walk to charming downtown Bath with its cafes, shops, restaurants and classic buildings. Wake up to coastal Maine's lovely light. Soak in the deep claw-foot tub or enjoy my new marble shower. Most of all, embrace the unique appeal of this very special area that draws visitors from around the world.
Amenities/Activities: I have wi-fi access and cable TV (including Netflix and Amazon Prime) and there’s plenty to do. Explore nearby villages or visit bustling, foodie-friendly Portland 35 miles south. Visit galleries and museums, sample local seafood, hike… or just stroll around Bath and meet some of the friendly folks here.
Weather: Mid/late April temperatures typically average from highs in the mid-50s to lows in the mid-30s - although last year we had some sunny days in the 60s and also a little snow! (I have plenty of cold-weather gear that I'm happy to loan.)
One person or a couple would be ideal. Non-smokers only, and experienced cat sitters with references, please.
