I am Japanese woman who married to a Mexican, have lived in Guanajuato for 5 years. We have AIR BNB business in our house. We are looking for a house sitter to take care of our house as well as our business, while we go back to Japan. I speak English, Spanish, French and Japanese.
- The period we need a house sitter : From the 3rd Nov to the 1st Dec.
- We do not have any pets.
Our house has two stories (160 m sq), we rent 2 units :
1. The downstairs’ apartment. ( Three bed rooms, two bathrooms, a living room and a kitchen.)
2. A suites room with bathroom on the second floor.
We live on the second floor. We mostly have guests on the weekends both the apartment downstairs and the suites room on the 2nd floor. You can stay in our bed room with a stained glass decoration on the 2nd floor. You can use our kitchen and living room on the 2nd floor. You need to share the living room and the kitchen when we have guests in the suites room on the 2nd floor.
Twice a week of maid service included. All heavy duty will be done by our maid, so we do not think your task does not bother you enjoying activities in Guanajuato. Even you can take Spanish lesson in the morning, if you like. You will be paid 10 % of our profit.
Our house is located in a safety typical Mexican familial zone next to the center of the city. About 20 min walk to the center or 10min bus ride. There is a bus stop 3 min walk from the house. There are some small shops where you can buy vegetable, meat, drink and snack just a few steps. Our house is faced on the main street, so there is noise from cars and buses, at night you hear howling dogs and cackling hens (I think this is Guanajuato’s culture to have their pets on their rooftop terrace so that they make quite a lot of noise.)
Guanajuato, UNESCO World Heritage city is the most beautiful colonial city in Mexico. Stunning architecture, brightly colored houses and a lot of cultural activities – concerts, films, theater and art exhibitions all year long. You can not be bored staying in Guanajuato.
Seeking: - Computer skill needed, hopefully advanced Spanish conversation skill. We want to have also responsible, honest and sociable person.
- Guanajuato is a quite safety city compare to others in Mexico. But we prefer someone who knows already Mexican culture.
- Someone who can stand noise. Mexico is noisy country- They love music, they play music loudly.
- Guanajuato is hilly city, there are a lot of up and down, so have to be strong walker.
Task : 1. Watering plants. (No gardens, but we have rooftop terrace and some small patios where we have plants.)
2. Receiving guests. (give them information of the house and house keys) You do not need to attend our guests leaving.
3. Writing messages to guests ( arranging their arrival, write review after they leave)
4. Holding sheets and towels and place them. (washing by maid)
5. Filling toilet paper, shampoo, soap and coffee.
