I have a lovely brick row home with expansive side porch and nice yard in Lancaster City. It is an easy walk to Central Market, gallery row, many restaurants in this "foodie" city, and the Barnstormer's baseball games. Lancaster is rated the #2 best place to retire in the US and the #32 best place to live and work (both USA Today). With many places nearby to cycle or hike, great shopping, important history, and the interesting Amish and Mennonite communities here, Lancaster is a really nice vacation spot as well. It is also an easy day trip to Philadelphia (Amtrak or car), Baltimore, or Washington D.C. (while Amtrak goes to the latter two, car is by far your best alternative).
My home is clean and comfortable. You will have a wonderful king-size bed, WIFI, and all the usual amenities. I am happy to let you use my Cannondale bicycle too. My daughter and son-in-law live close by, and will be responsible for mowing the lawn or handling household emergencies. They can also help with my kitty if you are away for a long day.
My cat, Holly, is 12 and is the calmest, sweetest cat I know. I adopted her last year when I was in chemotherapy. She loves to cuddle (and will probably sleep with you), but is very low maintenance. Just food twice per day, normal litterbox care, and a daily de-fuzzing with the "love glove" while you watch TV. She adores the glove, hence its nickname. Holly is strictly an indoor cat, so please do not let her outside. She is declawed.
I leave onMarch 29 and return on April 19. But, with my daughter nearby, I have some wiggle room on the dates so please do consider this even if you can't arrive on the 29th or stay until the 19th.
