Our lovely 3-bedroom/2 bath home backs up to a 2-acre lush green space and Sherwood boasts many lovely wooded trails, several quite near our house. There is a wooden deck with bird feeders and seating with a peaceful view of the wildlife in the greenbelt. The paved patio includes a gas BBQ and a table. We have a gas fireplace for a cozy living room area.
Our sweet and lovable 11-year-old Chocolate Lab mix Winston is the only pet needing care. About a year later, he is mostly healed from a torn ACL in a back right leg but his walks must still be on-leash. He uses his doggie doors to access the fenced back yard. Some poop pick-up in the back yard is desirable but it’s pretty easy with a tool we have. We would like our sitter to arrive a day before we are to leave to get acquainted with Winston (and us). Plus we have to leave very early on the 9th so we would like our sitter to be here the day before. Or even better would be if we could meet nearby ahead of time for a get-acquainted session to be sure we are a good fit.
There is minimal plant care needed by my 4 orchids and 2-3 other house plants. Ours is a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. You will need a car as most services (groceries, gas) are too far to walk. This is also in case Winston needs to go to the vet.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need (well, no air fryer!). The house has a heat pump for good temperature control, both heat and A/C, as needed. We would ask that you collect our mail daily from the box out front. Garbage should be put out on Thursday evenings and brought back in after pickup on Fridays.
