We have a 4 bedroom house in Canberra ACT. The capital of Australia. We need a house sitter to take care of our house, our 2 dogs Buddy and Ginger and our garden.
Duties will include taking care of the dogs (including walks and training Maintenance) and taking care of the house and garden.
The garden is not huge. There's a small lawn area. Garden care is mostly watering and picking up the poop daily.
The house borders on a park. There are lots of walking trails locally. There's a Woolworths Supermarket up the street and Belconnen Mall is a short distance. We have a covered deck that looks over the park and the house is at the end of a cul de sac.
We need the house sitters to be folks who will sleep every night at the house and be around on and off throughout the days. So possibly someone who works from home.
House: 3 bedrooms, high speed internet, Cable tv, Netflix, cooling system, air-conditioning, heating, gas stove, espresso machine, bath tub, Covered wood deck overlooking the park, eliptical trainer. Wood floors through out.
We would prefer someone who works from home or who is retired and is active and healthy. Could be a single person or a couple.
Buddy is a 2.5 year old Rottweiler Staffy cross
Ginger is a 1 year old border collie/ Kelpie/staffy cross
Both of them are high energy. Ginger can be skittish with new people but once she warms up, she's is fine. Buddy loves everyone.
Both dogs are crate trained and sleep in their crates at night and when we leave the house.
You will have a bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe and a view to the park.
There is a bus stop 3 minutes walk away that takes you to Belconnen Mall where there is a bus interchange for other parts of the city.
There is a decent sized supermarket within walking distance and a big shopping centre 10 mins by car or bus as well as lots and lots of walks you can do in the Canberra region, museums and galleries.
