Hello!
We are looking for a housesitter for a six (6) week stay (3 wk minimum*) to look after our home and super cute 3 month old puppy!
The House:
Our home is a large, spacious, modern 2 bed/1 bath villa located in West Bank, Luxor near Medinet Habu temple. Our home has air conditioning throughout, highspeed WIFI, satellite TV, large modern shower/bath, washing machine, and all the mod cons. There is also a large outdoor garden and sitting area perfect for relaxing or working outdoors. We are surrounded by idyllic sugar cane fields and have a fantastic view of the Theban Mountains! We are in walking distance to all the temples in the West Bank (ie. Valley of the Kings/Queens/Hatshepsut/Medinet Habu/etc..).
For those who may be working from home/ or are digital nomads we offer the following dedicated workspaces: 2nd bedroom desk, dining table, very long sofa + coffee table.
There is a local veggie market just a 5 minute walk away and food + drinks + alcohol deliveries are available.
Should you want to sightsee, early morning temple visits work well and they open at 6am. It will be glorious and peaceful at this time of year also enabling you to be back to work at 9am say... Should you desire, the arrangement of complete tours is also possible.
And if you need to take a dip, there is a great natural pool at a lovely hotel 10 mins away for a swim and to relax.
The Dates:
We have two time blocks available in which we need a housesitter: 13th July – 4th August & 9th – 30th August. Should you like to stay for the entire 6 week period we are happy to help set up local accomodation during the 5 days in between time blocks. Or, should you want to travel it is the perfect amount of time to take a trip to the Red Sea or check out the sights in Cairo.
For Puppy Care:
Our puppy is a super sweet 3 month old and super easy to care for.
Your duties would be to hang out and play with puppy daily / make sure he always has water and is fed regularly.
We are looking after the puppy for our friends and we ask that the puppy is kept outside or in the large, covered entrance. This is a requirement of ours as we know puppies like to chew things! The garden and entrance are both big and comfortable and he loves hanging out there.
The Details:
We ask £15 UK/$19 USD per night be contributed by the housesitter which will go to cover all utilities, electric, wifi, water usage during your stay including a large data bundle.
We have vets available if there are any issues and Ahmed, the landlord will be 10 mins away if any house issues arise. Hannah, his wife is also available at all times on WhatsApp for any Q's about what to do in Luxor - as are we!
