We are located 2 miles from the popular Old Mill District with the Les Schwab Amphitheater and floatable Deschutes River in Bend, Oregon. Our home is single level with air-conditioning, has an updated full kitchen with a dishwasher, gas range, microwave and standard coffee pot, a small guest bathroom with a large soaking tub/shower, guest bedroom with a comfortable queen-sized memory foam bed and a desk, and a fenced back yard. Smart TV in the living room and wifi access. Driveway parking with some room in the garage for secure storage if you bring a bike, etc. Nice neighbors and a quiet, private street, though our house backs to a main road (35 mph) so you do get some moderate traffic noise.
Our dog is an affectionate 60 lb, 2 yr old male, mixed breed (border collie, german shephard and huskey, to name a few...). Energetic while out and playing, but surprisingly mellow lounging around the house. Care required would include feeding 2x day and your choice of playing in the yard, talking on leashed walks and/or taking off leash in the woods. He does great with kids and encountering other dogs off leash in a large area, but not so great at dog parks :0( He loves attention, playing tug and roughhousing, and is not allowed on the furniture, though his hair makes it there regardless! He is by no means a "barker" and does not whine, but he will bark loudly when scared (sometimes by a person walking by the car when we are parked), a knock on the door/if he hears a delivery truck outside, and occasionally at the neighbor's dogs on the other side of our fence when they are out.
We're planning to leave town early Friday morning, and would return late on Sunday, so would need someone by Friday evening though Sunday morning. Thanks!
