We are looking for house sitters for our home which includes a dog, a cat and 4 chickens. A couple who can walk our dog and throw her a frisbee, feed our cat and chickens and collect the eggs as well as do daily change-overs in our unit. "The Studio" is attached to the garage and daily turnover is typical. Also maintain the lawns and minimal gardening.
Our home is The Coastal Retreat. An eco-luxury hideaway, architecturally designed, positioned on nearly 2 acres of gardens. It is passive solar, landscaped with gardens that maximise privacy and views. Set high on the ridge above Raglan with uninterrupted sweeping harbour, ocean and rural views through large floor to ceiling windows. 4kms to town, 15mins from world class surf breaks and numerous incredible beaches. We would ideally love you to stay 3 months! July, August and September. We look forward to sharing our piece of paradise with you.
Raglan is a hippy eclectic surf town that welcomes tourists. Filled with artists of all genres. Raglan is adored by everyone who visits. Best known for it waves, but also for its groovy coffee shops and surreal natural landscapes.
Our animals are our fur babies and loves of our lives. There is a large cat called Tahuna, who runs the house and loves cuddles all night. Then there is our gorgeous, obedient, clever pup (20 months) called Lily. Retriever/border collie/huntaway she loves morning walks and a frisbee or ball toss whenever you are feeling like it. She loves to go anywhere you are and especially loves long beach walks, adventure that includes a swim and meeting other dogs. There are also 4 chickens who provide a constant flow of eggs and entertainment.
Attached to the house is a studio that we rent out for 1 and 2 night stays on . The daily changeover of this will need to be perfected by the lucky house sitters to maintain our gold star host rating. Its extremely straight forward and typically only take 30 to 45 minutes. I will maintain communications with guests, as it is mostly automated but takes time out of your day.
Close to the house are tourist must sees: Bridal viel Falls; Hobbiton; Waitomo glow worm caves; Ruapuke Beach and Karioi Mountian trail. 1hour 45 minutes from Auckland International Airport. Transport is essential and can be included.
