We are seeking a house sitter who can take care of our four cats for the month of June. The arrival date is a bit flexible as you can arrive a bit earlier than June 2nd and stay in our guest room until we leave on June 3rd. This would also give some time to show you how we care for the cats and give tips on the area. The end date is more firm as we will be returning with our mother-in-law and will need to reclaim the guest room.
Our home is a two bedroom, two bathroom, 1000 square foot condo in West Seattle, with a very large deck area that is (the 1000 square feet does not include the deck). We are walking distance to three grocery stores, a pharmacy, restaurants and bars and even a movie theater. We are also a longer walk or short car / shuttle ride from Alki beach, which can be lovely to visit in June. There is a free shuttle that runs during the day past a stop that is 5 minutes walk from our place and will take you down to Alki or all the way to the West Seattle water taxi, which is a nice way to get to downtown via boat and skip the traffic.
Our home includes video gaming systems (PS4, PS5 and a Nintendo Switch), a treadmill, and a ping pong table (not tournament sized but still fun to play). We actually throw a tablecloth on the ping pong table and use it as a dining room table when we're not playing, but each half can also folded up and be put aside. We have wifi, streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, BritBox, HBO, Peacock, Paramount Plus, and others) as well as cable TV. There is free street parking on our street. Our condo is an entire floor so no shared walls, just neighbors upstairs and downstairs.
Our cats are three boys and one girl. There are no medication requirements currently and they mostly get along. They have two self cleaning litter boxes that just need bags emptied regularly, as well as three regular litter boxes (two inside, one on the deck). They are fed wet food twice a day and also have four dry food dispensers that need to be periodically refilled. We get cat food and litter delivered regularly so you should not need to do any shopping for these items.
The part of Seattle we live in is very quiet and low in crime, but the rest of the city is still very accessible from here, so we love it. Also happy to answer any questions, and we will post more photos as we get time to do so.
