We're long time residents of New Mexico but live part time in another state for business. We love running/hiking/gardening, but can't be in two places at once. So we need someone to look after our place when we can't be there.
We have a comfortable small home in a quiet neighborhood in the humble, historic town of Bernalillo. Easy access to the Sandia Mountains and nearby Placitas for hiking. We're close to the RailRunner train stop (goes to Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and the South Valley), walkable to a small market, local cafés, bookstore, library, post office, and drug store. We need someone to stay here for around three months this summer, to water trees (let the hose run) and cut weeds when they get too tall. We have no pets, but we’re pretty fond of our pecan trees, fig, persimmon, and jujubes. You'll need a car to be comfortable though, and should be willing to adjust to the altitude and the dry climate. Good WiFi (but no TV), washer/dryer, dishwasher, swamp cooler. Best suited for one person. Must be a good communicator and ask questions if there's something you don't understand about the house or the watering. It would also be a plus if you have an interest in New Mexico culture and history.
