We are looking for a house sitter in May that can take care of our kitties while we are on vacation. We got them during lockdown and work from home, so they've never been without someone around for more than a day or two! They don't require any special care other than a regular feeding schedule (5 times small portions a day to prevent gorging, though if you're going to be away for the day you can give them extra in the slow feeder) and the boy cat should have his ears rubbed to prevent buildup once a day, if he'll let you. Mainly, they just love to be played with & have someone around to get pets & scratches!
All three cats have been fixed. Gizmo is our boy cat, he loves food, playing (though he mostly just watches), evening lap time, and more food! Truffles is our littlest female, and is mostly independent. She only wants to be pet on her terms, but is very sweet when she does. Gemma is our big orange tabby, she's a little skittish around strangers, but once she gets used to you she will happily accept all the pets she can get!
Our house is on a quiet cul-de-sac with a park right out our back gate. You would have full access to high-speed wireless, air conditioning, a guest bedroom with a twin bed, an extra queen bed between the dining room & living room, yet another queen matress that could be set up in the rec room, a full kitchen, and a large rec room with plenty of activities (game table, ping pong, movies, exercise bike, etc.). We also have a great balcony you can lounge on if the weather is nice, and a covered porch & gazebo.
The cats have a tunnel from the house to the cat hut (2 litter boxes) and then to the catzebo/gazebo, where they have another 2 litter boxes & an area they can play (platforms all the way around they can climb on) and get some fresh air. There's a nice couch in there where you can lounge or play with them as well!
We love our house and think you will too. We're between Portland & Eugene, multiple parks, the coast & the mountains, so there are plenty of things to do!
