Because of circumstances this is almost a last-minute request. We have a newly renovated house on a 1/2 acre block with plants to be watered and a lawn to be mown. We don't have pets and would only ask you to maintain our garden and keep the house in good order. We are non-smokers and would request you smoke on our patio if you are a smoker.
If you come with references, so much the better. The house sit would be for approx. 6 weeks and there is a chance we will have more opportunities when we travel in the near future.
Our house is in a tranquil setting on a subdivided block. Our guests, including those from overseas, frequently comment on the peacefulness of our surroundings. We often see wildlife in or close to our garden. Lizards, koalas, wallabies are regular visitors as are the birds.
Shopping centres, restaurants, pubs, cinemas, medical centres, libraries, are all close by and we are only a train ride away from the city of Brisbane. Walking and bike tracks are near as well.
If you are from outside the country you will love the climate, in particular in our winter period (June, July, August) and we are only short day trips away from tourist attractions, rainforests and beaches.
