We are looking for a dependable and trustworthy pet sitter to look after our beautiful six month old puppy! Someone who will keep and enjoy our clean and comfortable suburban home which has great views of the continental divide, a fenced backyard, and a park next-door. She is a beautiful shepherd mix who is housetrained, loves people and other dogs, and who loves to snuggle, play, and keep her routine. She has a covered playpen where she can be safely kept and comfortable up to four hours with a treat if you need to leave the house. But we want someone who will mostly be home with her. There is a lake nearby for walks, and also many trails. Full transparency, she has not yet been spayed (because she is a large breed dog our vet said having her go through one heat cycle would markedly improve her orthopedic health) so we want to give her that advantage and there is a possibility it could happen during your stay. You would have to be prepared and willing to put a diaper on her, if necessary, and keep her leashed at all times to protect her from suitors. We have already been to five puppy classes with her so she is responsive to sit and lay down when given treats. She sleeps in the bedroom with us with the door closed each night, and while we like to start her on the floor with a bone, usually by the middle of the night she puts her paws up and wants to be lifted onto the bed, where she will sleep soundly between us. Again, she loves to snuggle!
Lastly, we have a renter in our basement who's been with us for 10 years. A lovely fellow who comes and goes through the front door quiet as a mouse and works full-time at the local King Soopers. We would ask him to watch our pup, but his work hours don't fit with her needs.
