We are looking for someone to watch our 9-year-old dog, Max, in our house while we are gone. Max needs morning and evening potty runs in our yard (leashed if dark), and would love to go on additional walks when possible. He is used to sleeping in the King-sized bed with one of us (he has his side, and likes to snuggle in the morning). We allow him to free feed on dry kibble, and give him a nightly home-cooked meal (which we make and freeze so you won't have to cook for him).
You can relax in our large 3-bedroom farmhouse on a 5-acre parcel, in a quiet, rural setting (but on a busy road). Bedrooms are upstairs; living area on ground floor. Large, fully equipped kitchen; large, partially covered deck. The yard is frequented by an array of entertaining hummingbirds, songbirds, and dark-eyed juncos (and occasional larger critters such as deer, raccoons, coyotes, bears, and raptors). Yard is gated (one electric and one manual), with asphalt driveway.
Includes Dish Network television and Starlink internet. There are good walking paths nearby, and a grocery store within 5 minutes by car. A trip to Gig Harbor, Port Orchard, Silverdale, or Bremerton is about 25 minutes. There are many parks nearby as well (Joemma Beach is a favorite); Gateway Park has a lot of great walking and biking paths.
We are looking for someone who will look forward to keeping our dog company, enjoy the house and keep it clean, and be respectful of our furnishings. We will have our cells with us and can be contacted if needed.
