Our apartment is located in Glover Park, a residential neighborhood in Washington, DC. It's a quiet neighborhood with lots of families and young professionals. We're directly across the street from Glover-Archbold Park — a beautiful forested area with miles of trails — and a large community garden.
Our apartment is spacious and gets lots of natural light. There’s an office (with a printer and an extra monitor), a large living room, one bedroom (where you’ll be staying), one bathroom, and a full-sized (and fully-stocked) kitchen and dining area. We have lots of home gym equipment including yoga mats, adjustable dumbbells, an exercise ball, resistance bands, and an ab wheel. Most importantly, it includes our wonderful and friendly cats, Evie and Sachi (sot-chee).
Things to do: There’s a trailhead directly across the street, so lunchtime, afterwork, or weekend walks in nature are extremely convenient. The neighborhood itself is great to explore — there’s excellent landscape architecture and it’s pedestrian friendly. There’s a large community lawn nearby that we love to sunbathe and picnic on.
Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Safeway, and Giant are all within walking distance. There are also a number of bars and restaurants nearby. The Georgetown shopping district is slightly farther away, but also within walking distance. Multiple bus stops can be found near our apartment building.
