INTRODUCTION
We are looking for a responsible couple to look after our 3 precious dogs and home in a quiet suburb outside Toronto for 4 weeks from January 18- Feb 20, 2023.
Our home is newly renovated, by The Credit River, and near the Niagara escarpment in southern Ontario. We have 3 great dogs, 2 senior dogs, Chimo and Nukka, who were also Therapy Dogs with St. John's Ambulance. Luna, who will be 20 months then, is well behaved, loves to chase a ball, walks and cuddles and belly rubs. They are all very quiet, just love to be around people, love attention and their walks
An active, caring and diligent couple who love dogs and enjoy the outdoors and cozy indoors, will be the best fit to house sit.
HOME & DOGS
We live in an established area in Mississauga, in a quiet, private, friendly neighbourhood that is surrounded by forests and the Credit River. Newly renovated main floor, large beautiful kitchen with gas fireplace, sitting area off open concept kitchen with an electric fireplace. The cozy large Family Room has a wood burning fireplace. There are 2 bathrooms and a large Dining Room. TV, Fibe TV channels, Netflicks, Wifi munity Centre with pools, gym, activities close by.
We have a large fenced in yard, great for the dogs to play and roam (with supervision)
We are about 45 min. from Toronto and a little over an hour to Niagara on the Lake and Niagara Falls. We are very close to many conservation areas on the Niagara escarpment and the Bruce Trail, a 800 km hiking trail that runs along the escarpment. (Entry pass included) Also minutes from the house is the Culham Trail, 18km along the Credit River. These trails are great for walking with the dogs. So if you like the outdoors and quiet, you will love our home and surroundings and our great special dogs. This is a beautiful time for walking, hiking, snowshoeing (included), along the Credit River, minutes away, or Conservation areas and getting cozy by one of the 3 fireplaces.
You will need your own car to get to nearby grocery stores, shops and the train station for downtown Toronto. No smoking!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Care of our precious dogs, including regular walks around the property and at local conservation areas or block walks and through parks, from the house.
Regular communication during the house sit. Must not leave the dogs alone for extended periods of time. Care of the house including light cleaning. Outdoor maintenance such keeping sidewalk and driveway clean if there is snow (snow blower avaiable) Ensuring that there are no issues with the house. A very detailed manual has been created covering all aspects of the house and dogs.
