     We are looking for a house sitter to take care of our kitties. Solly is our older cat (10 yrs old), we rescued him from the streets. He is super easy and friendly once he gets to know you.  He is our lap sitter. We also adopted Miss Kitty who is shy but loves belly rubs once she gets to know you. In July 2023 we added 2 kittens to our family, Winnie and Albie. Last but not least is our most recent foster fail, Cupcake.  This may seem like a lot but they often just lounge around in their respective cat trees, scratching posts, carpet squares...

     We have a beautiful 3br bath  townhouse condo (with private elevator) 1hr 15 mins from New York City (20 min walk to the Fairfield  train station with parking available but there are cabs or uber as well).  It's a great jumping off point for visits to NYC.  We frequently go to theatre and  concerts. 

We are also in walking distance to 5 beautiful beaches on Long Island sound, as well as to the town of Fairfield, which has numerous restaurants, specialty markets, a theatre, shops, 2 Starbucks ??, close to the very upscale town of Westport for more great restaurants and shops.  The closest supermarket (there are several) is a short car ride away.

There are bike lanes throughout making Fairfield a very bike (and walker) friendly town.

It was a joy to housesit for Chana and Harold, caring for their four cats. They provided thorough instructions and were quick to respond via text about anything that came up while they were away. The kitties were quite enteraining and became my good buddies in no time. The house and grounds were amazing, complete with wildlife. Brewster is a charming small town and I had a wonderful time exploring it and the surrounding area. I would highly recommend this sit as a very fun getaway.

Lovely home in the country with 4 adorable kitties, 2 older and two younger so very entertaining.   Owners were wonderful, had a few issues that came up and they were very responsive from afar. Wake up to deer in the yard so sweet. Lovely area literally 5 minutes from the train station if you wanted to venture into the city for an afternoon. Shopping is close by and there are Great places to walk.  Home has a lovely view from almost every window of its natural surroundings. If you like to watch the stars you can from inside the house they have a lovely atrium can see the moon and the stars so nice on a cold night along with a fireplace. Very comfy and they have house cleaners that come every two weeks so nice. I very much enjoyed my Christmas stay!

We met Chana and Harold, and their well-behaved cat Solly, in the late afternoon on the same day they left on their trip.  They are a most cordial and generous couple who made us feel comfortable and at ease as soon as we met.

Their beautiful country home is located in a great neighborhood very close to Brewster, NY.  The property both inside and outside is superb.  We especially enjoyed the large decks and pool area.  Solly was a real character and fun to be around.  He's a good lap kitty, and very affectionate.  

Also, we thoroughly enjoyed watching the deer and turkeys that visited the yard.

We definitely recommend Chana and Harold's place if you want to experience a great stay in rural New York.
