Looking for a house / pet sitter for 3.5 weeks from 20th October to 11th November, who can care for and keep company with our 9 year old Belgian Shepherd cross and 16 year old cat.
The cat is kept indoors with access to an external cat run and due to his age he tends to sleep a lot, so pretty low maintenance other than twice a day feed and some biscuits at night. He can be quite affectionate and like a nice lap to sleep on or next to in the evening.
Shadow is our energetic and low maintenance dog who loves being with people and is just eager to please. His favourite game is having the ball thrown and he is a regular at our local fenced dog park, just a few hundred meters up the road where he would chase the ball all day if given the chance . He does have a medical issue which means medication to be given twice a day but he is generally good with eating this when mixed with his dinner. He also needs walking twice a day in addition to his daily visit to the dog park. Ideally this should suit someone who is not working, or working from home.
We have a tropical aquarium with an automatic fish feeder but will need a little maintenance to keep good water quality while we're away.
The house is large, modern and comfortable, all on one level. We have a pool as well as being just a 15 minute drive to one of the Gold Coast’s best beaches at Burleigh Heads and our local off leash dog beach. We’re close to the edge of bushland with lots of greenery to be seen from the comfort of the lounge and plenty of walking trails to discover if that’s of interest. Although there are buses, and we’re not too far from the train line to Brisbane, you would need your own transport.
We have Netflix available on all TV’s and a media room with surround sound if you really want to get into watching a movie. NBN is connected and is very reliable. The neighbourhood is safe, friendly and well looked-after.
