Retired couple in Northern California are seeking a responsible non-smoking person/couple to care for our home, garden, and one cat. Two bedroom, 1 1/2 bath home, conveniently located between San Francisco and the Wine Country, with easy ferry access to the City. Nice neighborhood, with good neighbors, who care for one another and will welcome whomever comes to stay with our friendly, indoors-only, tuxedo cat.
Our 1930s vintage home is large and comfortable, with a back garden and patio for sitting. Most of the time the weather is nice, but in early Fall it can occasionally be hot. We have a window air conditioner but usually the use of fans and opening the screened windows cools the house nicely.
Our cat Maddie is not a lap cat, but shows her affection by lying next to you or behind you when on the couch. She loves to be brushed and to play with her toys. In addition to the usual cat care, we will need daily mail/newspaper collection, as well as trash/recycling set out once a week. The garden will need occasional watering. There are also a few houseplants.
Our home has Wifi, a washer and dryer, dishwasher, and streaming as well as over-the-air TV. We recommend that you have a vehicle for ease in getting around.
Our hope is to find a house sitter who will care for and love our cat and leave our home clean and well maintained.
