We are a family of four living in a small village midway between Paris and Orléans, in the Vallée de la Juine.
Of course there is also Boyka!
He is a 7 year old dogo argentino cross.
Despite having access to a big garden and the many walking trails around the house... He prefers to stay inside!
We are looking for a sitter as we will be visiting family for the whole summer.
Location
The house is situated 5min drive from the village of Saclas, between Paris and Orléans.
The village has a bakery, cheese shop, butcher, food shop, chemist, post office, florist, tobaconist/bar, 2 garages, fishmonger, hair salon, restaurant, an optician, a tennis court and library.
There is a food market each week and an antiques market each month.
Supermarkets are situated 15min drive away in the town of Etampes.

It's a 4 bedroom house of which 2 are en-suite guest bedrooms, each with a large inbuilt cupboard.
You will have one of the guest bedrooms and also have access to the master bedroom bathroom (has both shower and bath).
There are 3 toilets: 1 downstairs, and 2 upstairs (of which one in the master bedroom).
The kitchen is equipped with a dish-washer, convection oven, induction stovetop, fridge, microwave, washing machine and dryer. There is a freezer and an extra fridge in the garage.
There is a large terrace with a barbecue and a 2000 sq m fenced garden which is home to many birds and squirrels.
There is also a 2 car garage.
There are neighbours on both sides with a dividing hedge.
The surrounding area is fields and forests with hiking trails throughout.
Deer, pheasant and rabbits are a common sighting.
There are many castles to visit as well as the Fontainebleau forest.
It's what makes this location so unique and why we love it: it's peaceful and green (the house is located in a tree preservation area)... Yet not secluded!
Responsibilities
Your daily responsibilities will be to walk Boyka for 30min, replace his water and food and let him in and out as he needs (he goes out on his own schedule).
In the summer, the door can be left open for him.
If he is out at the same time as the neighbours dogs, he may bark in which case he is called in.
The indoor plants will need watering once or twice a week.
Mowing the grass is optional.
Boyka is calm, gentle and low-maintenance: as long as he has access to the garden when he needs it, has food, water and loving company, he's happy!
As he has only one lung, he needs to be walked when it is cool.
However he's more of an indoor dog so he won't mind missing walks for a few days.
