This home was built in the mid 1860's. We have a beautiful location on the north side of the Monterey Bay, with a wonderful garden area, lawns and deck areas. Any Garden lovers out there? We need someone who will water our plants and garden. We will leave a description of what needs water when, etc. Lilly and Mark are both artists and educators and our home is filled with love. Enjoy the ocean 1.5 miles away, the many Redwood forests with splendid hikes very nearby and the plentiful live music downtown at Abbott Square, Art venues, and the Museum all in walking distance via our own pathway down the hill to downtown. Our home is filled with art and travel relics. No smokers or pets please. We don't have pets because we travel so much but you will have a garden and Myer Lemons to pick fresh. Persimmons might be ready by then also.
We are located on the first floor and there are three other units and a Carriage House all occupied by professional people who've all been here long term. Each unit has a separate entry on different sides of the building and you will rarely see any of the other tenants. We are the owners and we live in this very special space of about 1300 square feet.
We have a large outdoor patio with eating and seating areas here and there, a fire pit area, BarBQ, slider swings and a beautiful garden. Washer and dryer on property. Indoors is quiet, full of light, French doors with a wood burning stove and a floor heater. Gas stove for cooking... all vintage and in good working order. We are regularly complimented on this home and the environment we've created. We are looking for people who will enjoy an aesthetically cared for property in a super community by the sea. Summers here are mild, not hot. The Cabrillo Music Festival rehearsals (are free) in the Civic Auditorium during July and just down the hill from us. Also Wednesday farmers market and the monthly antique fair downtown in a closed off street. Lots to do... or stay home and enjoy the garden.
