Pets and nature galore inhabit and surround our home in a semi-rural setting near trails, reservoirs, and biking opportunities! You can even fall asleep in a tree house to the sounds of owls. You are a few hours from Sierras, less than an hour from San Francisco and the Pacific Coast and from the wine country. This is a 4-bedroom, 2.5 bath modern home in a very quiet subdivision. Our dog would like a daily walk, preferably off-leash on the trails, and our 2 indoor cats would like daily cuddles. Our vegetable garden will provide produce in exchange for a weekly drink of water.
At this point in our planning, these dates are approximate. We will be on the East Coast and want a pet-loving individual or family to enjoy our house and surroundings in exchange for caring for our pets and once/week small vegetable garden watering. Our dog is very calm and likes a long walk once a day or 2 shorter walks. We usually take him on the nearby trails so he can run off leash and because we like to hike. Our 2 cats stay indoors so they just want to cuddle with you. All three are fed dry food in the morning and at night.
Our home feels like a retreat as there is plenty of space inside and out. There is a forest behind the house from which you can hear owls and other wildlife. We have a treehouse for daytime chillin' or nighttime sleeping if you want, and a patio, fire pit, BBQ. The neighborhood is very quiet with friendly, helpful neighbors. The front yard is planted with California native plants and also 6 rose bushes. There will be herbs and garden produce to enjoy and plenty of recreational opportunities such as hiking, biking, kayaking, and more.
We have a very antique and excellent Hobart Cable Player Piano for you to enjoy playing / listening to the scrolls. We have an extensive and varied CD collection, a fire pit and BBQ, outdoor seating, a screened-in treehouse, and a full set of camping equipment to use. We have sports equipment, a pingpong table, a basketball hoop, and a plethora of books.
While ours is a semi-rural town, all the popular tourist attractions are within an hour or less. You can enjoy nightlife in UpTown Oakland, or in San Francisco, travel to wineries, go to the beach, visit amusement parks, and more.
