We are planning on taking a road trip and will be gone about days, not exactly sure of dates yet. Will set up specifics this coming week. It will be from about April 5th through April 21, 22, or 23rd.
We live in Eugene in a nice neighborhood very close to a bike and walking path along the river and canals. We have two dogs, 27lbs and 22 lbs - both very loving. The older dog is 14 and is a therapy dog and reads with little kids and visits the students at University of Oregon. The younger dog is 3 and has a lot of energy and if not watched, will jump on people when she greets them. She is very obedient and will sit and wait if told to do so. Both are excellent off leash and have excellent recall. I hike with the dogs daily and usually I have them off leash when there is room for them to run and sniff.
We are looking for someone that loves dogs, will walk them 2-3 miles's a day when-possible (one can walk through our neighborhood or right into the park with geese, ducks a river and canals and many running trails). Our house is spacious and comfortable to stay in and we are looking for someone that will care for the house. Depending on when, there may be a few plants to water in the summer but not much else is involved. Oregon is a beautiful state and Eugene is a wonderful college town with a populaiton of about 170,000 or so. We are an hour and a half from the ocean and mountains and waterfalls even closer. I am a hiker and can recommend all types of trails (Snickers the older dog cannot do ones that are too steep any longer).
