We are in the process of moving from Phoenix to the Austin area for work and are in need of a pet sitter who can take care of our 13-year-old Sheltie, Promise, while I travel back to Phoenix to help my partner wrap up our move. We lost Promise's littermate about a week ago, so we are looking for someone who can show some extra compassion to our furbaby as she has never previously been apart from her sister for extended periods of time.
We live in a duplex near Buda, TX about a minute drive from downtown Austin. We have a large fenced backyard and live in a neighborhood that is also home to a family of deer.
Since we are in the process of moving, our house is furnished with the necessary basics but has a very minimalist feel to it. If you are able to pet sit for us, please know that we currently only have a full-sized air mattress to sleep on and we do not have a TV in the house yet. There is wifi, a table, a couple of comfy chairs in the house, and a bench swing in the backyard.
Promise is a pretty low-key dog, spending much of her days sleeping. She gets fed two times a day and enjoys walks through the neighborhood. She is a bit nervous and can take a moment to warm up to new people, but with a little bit of patience and some yummy treats, she will warm up and start asking for attention.
