Looking for someone who loves animals. Someone who is content to hang around the house in-between day excursions around the Bay Area so that the animals get the attention that they need. (no more than 10 hours away at a time.) Of course honesty and general neatness is a must. We are open to small families with children and/or couples.
Responsibilities would mostly be the care of our pets. We have two cats, a parrot, bunny, chickens a dog and fish. The animals must be brought in (chickens locked up) at dusk. So if you wanted to go out for a late night you would need to make sure the pets are tucked in first. We have a few plants that need watering, mail needs to be brought in, and garbage taken down to the main road. General cleaning and tidying up after yourself and that is about it.
The animals can stay alone part of the day as long as they are all secured by dusk and the doggy gets potty breaks. Also please be 100% sure you are available the listed dates.
We live in a small town called Orinda. It is located on the opposite side of the Berkely hills. We are within 30 minute drive (depending on traffic) to Oakland, Berkeley, and San Francisco. Our home sits on a hill with amazing sunset views. We are located close to shopping, movie theater, restaurants etc but because our home back into open space there is a sense of privacy. There are hiking trails within walking distance and more intense hiking available at Mt Diablo and the reservoir. We are a little over an hour away from 3 different wine regions and you can go tasting for a few hours or spend the entire day in Napa/Sonoma/Livermore. Oh and BTW we own a winery so we have there is plenty of wine in the house if you just want to relax here instead of travel.
