Hello!

We are looking for a house sitter to take care of our sweet dog Gato. He is a medium size guy that loves the outdoors, long walks and the dog park. He is friendly to everyone and will always take the opportunity to trick you into a belly rub!

Gato is easy to care for! He sleeps in his crate, likes hanging out in the yard, you fill his bowl of food and water once and he self feeds. We would like for Gato to be taken to the dog park every other day and to have a long walk (1hr) when he does not go to the dog park.

We have a few house plants that will need watering twice during your stay as well.

We live in the lovely southwest surrounded by beautiful mountains, endless hiking/biking trails, and great food/shopping in the nearby Santa Fe, NM.

First, meeting the family was a great experience. Their home is beautiful with awesome opportunities for hiking and exploring nearby. Santa Fe, Taos, Bandelier National Monument, Valles Caldera, Jemez Springs (try the old fashioned bath house) and so much more. 

Second, is Gato the dog. He is so sweet you can't help but fall in love with him. There is a very well maintained dog park and he has a lot of dog friends. The owners of those dogs were so friendly to me and the dogs were so friendly to me and him, that it was a pleasure to go there. It actually broke my heart to leave. 

The first Sunday of every month there is a community breakfast fundraiser at Posse Lodge. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes with three or four different flavors are offered as in all you can eat special. They also provided coffee, tea, water and juice. As of April 3rd, 2022, it was $8 per adult and I believe $5 for children, but I am not sure of what age. The community was very friendly and it was a great experience all around.

LosAlamosSit stayed in touch and were responsive to any questions. I consider myself blessed to have been chosen and hopefully, I will be able to do so again.
