We usually need dog-sitters for a one or two week period, although sometimes we go for a month or so. We have our current pet-sitting needs covered, but are open to meeting more people for future sits.
Molly is our 10 year old German Shorthair Pointer. She travels with us when she can, but sometimes we need a dog-sitter. She gets two walks a day, and eats twice a day. In her younger years she was super active, but she is really slowing down, although still very healthy and loves her two walks a day, and maybe a little play time in between. She has a sweet demeanor.
We prefer a local-ish non-smoking couple or individual, and are looking for someone who will dogsit in exchange for staying at our beautiful home. We also have some tropical fish that would need feeding every couple days, but luckily they don't have to go out for walks.
Our house is just outside the town of Anacortes, on Fidalgo Island. It sits on a hill and faces west, with a view of Burrows Pass, gateway to the San Juan Islands. The main floor is open concept, with living room and kitchen in one space, and a separate master bedroom with king size bed and en suite bathroom.
There is another guest bathroom on the main floor. The living room has a smart tv and stereo. We have good wifi. The deck off the living room has a heated alcove where you can sit and enjoy the boats coming and going from the local marina. A two person hot tub is also available right outside the master bathroom. We have a carport for parking.
Downstairs is an apartment which is currently rented through September of 2022. You will have the run of the upstairs and there is a locked privacy door between the floors.
