Our house is located just east of central San Diego, not far from San Diego State University. Walking distance to several cafes, restaurants, and grocery store. Quick drive to downtown, the beach, or hiking trails.
We are seeking someone to care for our two pets--12 year old shoehoe kitty, and 2 year old mini doodle mix (~25 pounds). Kitty is mostly indoor but is allowed to spend time in the backyard as she chooses. She gets meals 2x/day, litter box scooped daily, and medication (mixed with dinner) every other night. Pooch is young and energetic. She loves being home but needs to get out for walks at least 2-3x/day. She is crated when no one is home, and we don't leave her for more than 4-5 hours at a time. She gets meals 2x/day. We strongly prefer sitters that will be home for our pets every night. If you want to make a few longer day trips (>4-5 hours), it is likely we can arrange day-time dog-sitting a few times during your stay.
We have a hot tub in our private back yard that you are welcome to use. If you choose not to use it, it will still need minimal chemicals added a couple times during your stay.
Our house is a charming 1930's 2-bedroom/1.5 bath bungalow. It is small, but not cramped. Each bedroom has a queen bed. Notably, one bedroom has the cat box in it. There is also a detached, fully finished "bonus room" in the backyard that has a queen-sized murphy bed and office-like space, if needed.
