We are looking for a dog lover to come stay with our 6 year old Aussie, Tova. She is excellent company and very well-behaved at home. She has a strong herding instinct when walking and does best with long off-leash walks at the array of wonderful dog-friendly options for hikes, runs, biking and nature walks from our vast trail system right out our door. You can use our bikes if you wish. She also enjoys a ball throwing session with a chuck it from the fenced backyard or while walking a shorter walk around the neighborhood pond. She does best with one in the am and one in the PM walk before it gets too hot and after it cools down. She needs to be let out to the backyard before bed. When walking on the street she thinks she is protecting her ranch and as a herding dog and thinks scooters, skateboards, bikes, and motorcycles are all rogue sheep that need herding. With proof of insurance and a clean driving record, we could also loan you a car.
We have a 2600 sq foot house with 3 bedroom 4 bath home. We have a view of the Carson Range mountains and an expansive primary suite with an attached quiet office and fast wifi. There is a saline hot tub and a trampoline in the backyard. We love to cook and have everything you need to make meals at home if you'd like. We have every on-demand streaming service for TV. Comfy beds and linens and rooms good sun. Our home is well located a short walk to an excellent general store and local pizza joint and a 10-minute scenic drive to downtown Truckee with an array of outstanding food, shops, coffee shops,and more. We are 25 minutes to lake, and 20 minutes to Northstar or 25 minutes to Palisades.
We are seeking someone with prior experience who can arrive before we leave to show you around and have you meet our dog.
