This was a great housesit in a remote rural mountain area, NW of Denver - close to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park !
You will instantly like Kathy and Bert ! Kathy picked me up at a predetermined location and her energy and smile were infectious! She exudes positivity ! They are a lovely couple, friendly and immediately put you at ease about being there, explaining things in the house and about their two girl cats.
When you meet the two cats, Tom and Bob (yes, they are female;), you Immediately see that Tom is soooo chill, while Bob takes a bit more time to accept you, but she was lovely. Kathy said to expect Bob to "hide", as she is skittish. I approached Bob gently, tried not to make any sudden movements in the house during my first day there and that approach paid off! I was rewarded with Bob walking up onto my lap on my second night there while reading a book in the recliner chair.
Tom and Bob are older indoor-only cats, and were easy to care for. Each day, after getting their breakfast, I generally set off to explore the local area and only came back to the house early evening; the cats would then have their supper and happily hangout in the livingroom with me for the evening.
If you are looking for a housesit that provides you with the opportunity to meet some great people, hangout with some cool cats, in a unique mountain-setting, then this housesit won't disappoint !
