Short term house sitter to mind pets in a quiet community located in North San Diego Country
Our family of four is backpacking in central California from June 26 – July 8. We live in San Diego, North County in the community of Fallbrook. The house is 1,900 sq. ft with three bedrooms and two baths on half an acre. We have a gardener who comes once a week to help maintain the property. Our home is 7-10 minutes away from grocery store, restaurants, and fitness gym. Numerous hiking trails are nearby. We are twenty minutes away from Temecula Valley’s wine country. As well as thirty minutes from beaches and Oceanside Harbor, an hour to the mountains and hour and a half to Anza-Borrego desert.
Pets:
Ollie, Augie, and Big Orange, our beloved cats. Ollie and Augie are indoor cats, and Big Orange is both in and outdoors. After his owners abandoned him, he became a stray in the neighborhood. An elderly woman took him in, however she passed away and we promised her we would take care of him. He has had a tough life, but he has a heart of gold and a very loud purr! Big Orange is fifteen years+, and Ollie and Augie are eleven year old brothers. Cats need regular pet care along with petting, and talking to. They do not play as much as they use to although an occasional bout with a feather toy is appreciated. The most difficult issue regarding the cats is Big Orange has recently been diagnosed with diabetes and requires twice daily injections. Addition to the cats, there also is a small two gallon fish tank with a bata, dwarf frog, and a clown pleco. There are four Russian tortoises in an outdoor enclosure and two in an aquarium. They require low maintenance.
The sitter must be non smoker with good references. Unfortunately, no other pets. Our cats are used to a calm and quiet environment, thus we prefer someone who will not have parties.
