The house is a new, three bedroom, two bathroom villa in southern rural Spain with extensive gardens and large outdoor pool surrounded by lawns and palms in an acre of land. We are located in the green and pleasant countryside approximately three miles equally from the two small seaside towns of Chiclana and Conil, both of which are favourite holiday resorts for spanish people in the months of July, August and September. In May/June, things begin to warm up, the temperatures are still very pleasant with lots of sun, opportunites for sunbathing, swimming or simply relaxing in the exotic garden.
The house is relatively newly built, double glazed, modern kitchen, comfortable and cosy. There is a log fire in the lounge, although this isn't normally needed in August as there are usually balmy conditions outside. There is a large south facing terrace which overlooks the pool and lawns and is a wonderful area for eating out in the summer and autumn months. Pomegranites, lemon, orange and fig trees abound and enjoying a cold beer or a glass of the local sherry is a delight. The house has WiFi, internet, wifi tv and local tv channels. There is an extensive film collection.
The area has a wide variety of amenities: golf, beach activities, bird watching, sight seeing in such historic towns and cities as Cadiz, Jerez, Medina Sidonia, Vejer, Trafalgar. The nearest town is Chiclana which has many bars and restaurants serving a variety of food from local spanish cuisine to indian, chinese, thai and the ubiquitous MacDonalds. However, you will have to be back in good time, so as not to leave our pet labrador too long in the garden as she enjoys company. Our aging dog called Deme, requires exercising every morning and will never turn down an opportunity to join in a short walk to the local Venta. In Andalucia, a Venta is a bar where basic groceries are available along with tapas, main meals and a good array of local wines and spirits. Live music occasionally features in the evening.
So, basically, we are looking for a responsible person or couple with their own transport, who together can look after the house, our dog and the garden and enjoy a real spanish experience of southern Spain.
