Update: Because of Covid-19 we only can get sitters that are allowed to travel to Germany. For example it is not possible for people coming from the US that time, sorry. :(
We are looking for a house and cat sitter that can imagine to live in a quiet area of a village inhabitants) in the south of Germany. We have a big house, a ground area of 1500m², some trees, gras, flowers, berrys. So you have to keep the garden maintained.
Cat must be feeded twice a day, let her going out and in. But if you want to travel some days up to a month, there are neighbours that take care about cat, house and plants. So this ist still possible for you, even serveral times. We have also a aquarium of some little fishs, feeding once a day or using automatic feeding mashine (1 month).
The house is situated in a village on top of the mountains Schwäbsiche Alb at a hight of 850m above sealevel. We have a bakery with a grocery and a post office, but the next supermarket is in 5km distance (not good by bicyle because of 200m diffrence in altitude!). There is a bus going all two hours or each hour, depending on daytime to Tuttlingen (need to change the bus). That takes half an hour.
Winters are more rough than in lower parts. But we have the chance of snow in winter. You can use (our) nordik skis.There is a net of cross-contry-skiruns. And we have two woodburning stove and enough wood for you to use. Of course, we have central heating and hot water. This is a normal house with some specials (added waterheating with sunpanels, rainwater collecting for toilet and washing mashine...).
All the year around, there is the Naturepark Donautal nearby with many tracks, if you are interested in. You can use our bikes, our canoe and kayak.
This place could be interesting for a person who likes to stay in a rural countryside. If you want to come as a couple, please notice that we charge 200 Euro per month. Thank you.
