We are looking for a housesitter who has experience with hospitality and rentals, as we have 2 cabins for rent on the property and would like to have them available for potential guests. We have a cleaning friend who will prepare the cabins and a gardner who comes twice a week, but we need someone to oversee the final results and receive guests at the door, as well as solve any issues that may arise. Guests usually only come on the weekends, so you will have plenty of days to yourself.
Besides this, we would very much appreciate your taking loving care of our beloved dog Lucia, home and garden, keeping them well maintained and tidy, as well as the natural swimming pool and greenhouse.
My husband and I designed and built our home, and the cabins, from all natural materials (adobe, stone, & wood), with large windows that keep you connected with the surrounding nature. It has one bedroom, 1 loft (with expansive mountain views and space for yoga or meditation) and 1 bathroom. A large, colorful kitchen, cozy dining/living area with abundant natural light. All beautifully furnished and decorated.
It is nestled amidst a peaceful, quiet and inspiring atmosphere yet only a 10 minute walk to town, where you can find a variety of local restaurants with real Mexican food, delicious Italian food at Coco's Place, gourmet French at Villa Nogal and gourmet Mexican with excellent craft beer at Jardin Nebulosa.
San Sebastián del Oeste is an authentic Mexican village, officially classified as "Pueblo Magico" (Magical Village) by reason of its natural beauty, cultural riches, and historical relevance. Walking through the picturesque streets of the village, meeting some of the locals or hiking in the mountains are inspiring and unique experiences you will thoroughly enjoy.
The town is located 1.5 hour drive from Puerto Vallarta in the Sierra Madre Occidental.
