House sitter needed from March 22nd to April 4th, days.

We need someone to:

Water just a few indoor plants

Pick up mail/newspaper

Feed outdoor birds

Be a presence on site

No yard or house work expected, just pick up after yourself.

We have a small, clean, modest house on a fishing lake. No hot tub, gourmet kitchen, or fancy dancy stuff. We do have a peaceful, quiet, nature filled piece of heaven. We are about 45 minutes from Seattle, half an hour to the Cascade Mountains, and hour to the Canadian boarder and even closer to Puget Sound. Four miles to amenities, banks, stores, restaurants etc. Our property is adjacent to the Centennial Trail, a 30 mile paved rails to trails walking/biking path. If this sounds interesting to you please send a response. Sadly we have no pets, but yours are welcome.

High speed internet and WiFi available.

If you have an RV we have a space available.

“ Housesit in Lake Stevens ”

Sit Dates Jun-17-21 - Jul-4-21 Sitter hikerhelen, Member Since Nov-14-14

This housesit was exactly as the homeowner described. It is steps away from a 30 mile Rails-to-Trails bikeway which is wonderful for walkers, runners or bikers. The property is  a beautiful two acres with stately trees, lush grass, a wetland area for Canadian Geese, and a boathouse by the lake where you can have coffee or be more adventurous with your kayak or their canoe. Just listening to the chimes and watching the birds is a wonderful experience too. There isn't much "traffic"on Cassidy Lake, just some fishermen floating by or a few more people across the late at the drive in place for the public. The much larger Lake Stevens is where more serious boating takes place.

Being hikers we loved being close to Mt. Pilchuk, Wallace Park with the Woody Trail, Lake 22, and many others.

The house is small but good for one or two people, and the area is so quiet we felt very safe. The neighbors are friendly if you seek them out.

Towns nearby are Lake Stevens and Snohomish, but Everett and Bellingham and Seattle are close enough for a day visit. There weren't any pets, so these commutes are very doable, even watering the plants/garden before we left.

If you are looking for a quiet spot out of the way, fresh air, near hiking, and biking, this is ideal and the hosts are helpful and experienced.
