We are looking for a house sitter in mid-May who can take care of two adorable and playful young dogs for two weeks. House is located in a rural cohousing community within 30 minutes of Durham, North Carolina. We have miles of beautiful wooded trails almost in our back yard, and a community dog park. Beautiful lakes with kayak rental within 30 minutes. Home was built in 2017 and is open and bright. Cohousing neighbors are like extended family.
The dogs will need to be fed twice a day. They love to hike, play ball, and play with each other. They do get crated if we are not able to be home for their safety.
The community is very peaceful and relaxing. Members are typically involved in projects and tending the community gardens. Please note that the closest grocery shopping is at least an 18 minute drive in 3 different directions.
Plenty of things to do in Durham. Duke Gardens is stunning all year, but especially so during May. Durham has also gained a reputation for being the "foodie capital of the south." There is no shortage of cultural and sporting events.
