Looking for someone to take care of our home while we are back in Canada for the summer months. Our home is four year old, 2 bed, 2 bath villa, situated in one of the most popular communities on the Dominican Republic’s picturesque north coast.
The Casa Linda Community offers lots of additional amenities such as a shuttle bus (so there is no need for a vehicle), 24 hour power, 24 hour security and reception area that includes a bar, a restaurant and mini supermarket. The Casa Linda community also offers a tennis court and mini putt. In the coming months a water park will also be added. All within walking distance from our our home.
Our home is located aprroximately 2 kilometers from two beaches and the downtown area where there are two large grocery stores (shuttle bus will take you and pick you up).
The House Sitter would be required to tend to the yard work, for example, cut and water the grass, water and trim gardens. The yard is not large and there is mininal grass, but there are many plants, tress, bushes and hedges that require attention from time to time. Also, there is a pool on the property that will require weekly maintenance and cleaning.
The type of house sitter that we are looking for will be able to pay for their consumables (electricity, interest, water, propane, etc. roughly $200 USD per month) We are aware that not all house sitters are willing to pay for these items and wish them well in their searches. You ask why do we need to pay for our consumables? Because in the DR, the utilities are not like in North America and somethings you need to get yourself, such as propane, water, etc. With us being out of the country and back in Canada, we could not be responsbile for those things.
